All About LAMBDA ALOHA
What exactly Lambda Aloha is:
Lambda Aloha is technically described as a non profit corporation registered in the State of Hawaii and exists to:
Provide social interaction among members of Kauai's Bisexual, Transgender, Lesbian and Gay Community.
Promote education, research, and advocacy of concerns and issues relevant to our community.
Support Human and civil rights and expand political awareness for all people.
Membership
If you are a resident of Hawaii, receive a copy of our publication (email list of events) and attend any Lambda Aloha
events, chances are that you already are a "Regular Member" of Lambda Aloha.
If you contribute time or assistance (financial or otherwise), then you are probably considered an "Active Member" of
Lambda Aloha.
Any member is encouraged to attend any Board Meetings or any Regular Meetings they wish to attend. Under strict
interpertation of our by-laws, to be a member, one is required to attend at least one meeting each year.
Board Members
Board Members are elected from the general membership for three year terms. Anyone in the community who wishes
to become a board member should communicate this desire to any existing board member for nomination. We
strongly encourage anyone who may be interested to become an active board member.
Our existing board consists of 4 men who are all over 50 years of age. We would like to see a board of directors
more closely reflect the community as it exists here on Kauai. We are actively recruiting new board members to
represent the younger men and woman family members on the island.
Current Board Members
President - Doug Howell
Vice President - Ken Ingram
Treasurer - Tom Dredge
Secretary - Art Miller
